Folder Views and Backgrounds

I've looked around but can't seem to find the answers so I'll ask here.

 

1) What has happened to the folder view? I don't really like the new layout and cannot seem to find out how to revert back to a coverflow type setting.

 

2) If I can go back to a coverflow view why don't images appear in the background when I change folder?

 

I hope the above can be changed, because the great thing about Mediabrowser was how configurable it was, and I don't understand why Emby Theatre isn't the same.

Sorry, I may be using the wrong terminology, I guess they may be called posters? Any how in Mediabrowser you could change how the films/tv shows were displayed, and when you changed from one film/tv show to another the background used to change to one of the currently selected backgrounds from the item you had changed to as shown below:

 

 

 

So you can see how the folders/posters are shown above, and how the background relates to the currently highlighted item. Now in Mediabrowser how these were displayed was extremely configurable, but I could live with the old Emby layout as shown above. The new layout looks like this:

 

 

Which I hate, and my background is just a grey colour until I go into a movie folder. So if you're still with me, is there any way to:

 

1) Go back to the old Emby layout?

2) Configure Emby so backgrounds work correctly?

3) Bring the ability to Emby in the future to have different folder views, like tiled, coverflow etc.

 

I can't code, so I really miss the 3rd party themes and plugins that Mediabrowser used to have.

Unless misunderstood, this is easily solved in the Emby Server settings, because for me, I have exactly what it refers to.

When accessing my folders, the background image is not a gray but rather background images of the movies alternating.

Taking advantage of this topic, is it possible to use CSS code to leave the background in folders with full view without this darkening?

What old emby layout are you referring to?

 

What do you mean by correct backgrounds?

This is what my emby used to look like, and when I used to hover over an item the background changed to one related to the item.

That is the view that I liked so much much nicer to look at than vertical view hopefully we can have view option to get it back.
