windows 8.1 app not connecting to server (different machine)

This has probably been answered, but I didn't find it here in the forum.

I just installed the windows 8.1 app on my tablet, but cant get it to connect to the server which is running on a different machine.

it asks for the hostname, in my case http://192.168.0.2  which I got from "ipconfig" and it defaults to the correct port but it keeps saying my hostname is incorrect.

when I was playing with mediabrowser theater on my laptop I know I had to use a full path such as http://192.168.0.2:8096/mediabrowser

but that is apparently not the correct way to enter it in this app.

can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong here?

ok never mind, duh. It does not need the "http"
