moviefan 187 Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Emby seems to be hit or miss for me when deciding if it will update the Rotten Tomatoes rating and info after a movie is added. Most of the time I can do a few manual refreshes and it will eventually pick it up. But not all the time. For example, right now I have done many manual refreshes for the movie Lion, which has a Rotten Tomatoes page and everything, but it refuses to download the rating. - Is there something I can to to better ensure that Emby downloads this data? - Is there some way to manually enter this information when it is not automatically downloading it? I've noticed the "Rotten Tomatoes ID" field in the info, but this doesn't appear to be filled in for any of the movies I've inspected, including the ones which are working normally. And I'm not sure exactly what this field is even asking for. Would it just be lion_2016 for the Lion movie I mention? I tried adding this and refreshing and nothing happened.
Jdiesel 1431 Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 I think Rotten Tomatoes is limited to a certain amount of API hits per day. You may have reached your limit for the day which is why you can't refresh the rating. If you have a large library it could take over a week to fully populate.
moviefan 187 Posted March 14, 2017 Author Posted March 14, 2017 Thanks for the info but I don't think this is the issue. Other movies will update fine. And I don't do more than a few requests per day. Just specific movies choose not to update.

I did a fresh install on a refresh of Win 10 to fresh install I am not showing a single title as of day 2 showing RT information in my library. Seems lately like Emby has completely stopped doing Rotten Tomatoes for all of my newly added movies. There's no way I am going anywhere close to 100 requests a day. I'd be surprised if it's even ten.

Solution moviefan 187 Posted May 4, 2017 Author Solution Posted May 4, 2017 It looks like this issue has resolved itself. New items are being updated with RT info. Having to manually refresh all of the stuff that has been added recently. 1
tyr_88 4 Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Same here now have it again working great I did fresh install over past few days to start clean for creators update and reinstalled fresh server It was working right before on old server BETA and still smooth on stable new install
