bobhays 2 Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 I have a show with episodes that are messed up (wrong season/episode). The metadata thinks that every episode in the season is episode 25. I tried rescanning the library and refreshing the show and season to redo the metadata but that won't change. Other than going in and manually changing each episode is there a way to clear the metadata and reapply it? It's already identified the right show but with the wrong episode number. (the episodes are named and numbered correctly but it just won't overwrite the old meta data it has regarding episode number and seasons.) Thanks! A picture of what it looks like for reference
Happy2Play 9783 Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 You would need to show us the exact folder structure for this series and there contents to detemine where this issue is.
bobhays 2 Posted March 12, 2017 Author Posted March 12, 2017 You would need to show us the exact folder structure for this series and there contents to detemine where this issue is. TV Shows > Code Geass > Code Geass Season 1 > Code Geass 1x01 - {Title} Code Geass 1x02 - {Title} ... Code Geass 1x25 - {Title} Code Geass Season 2 > Code Geass 2x01 - {Title} Code Geass 2x02 - {Title} ... Code Geass 2x25 - {Title}
bobhays 2 Posted March 13, 2017 Author Posted March 13, 2017 Update: I couldn't find a solution so I just when through and manually changed the season and episode for each file, then clicked refresh to get the thumbnail images. I'm not sure what the issue was or how to fix it other than manual edits.
Solution Starlionblue 82 Posted March 13, 2017 Solution Posted March 13, 2017 I think the problem might be that your seasons are called "Code Geass Season x" instead of just "Season x". Emby might be seeing every season as the series itself. In order to nuke the metadata and "start again" on that show, open Metadata Manager and select the series. Click the three vertical dots thingy and select "Identify". Give as much info as you can in the dialog and then let Emby loose to search for the show. Select the correct option from those presented. 1
Luke 42083 Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Can you show a screenshot of the folder structure? if you've changed it then it might be too late, but being able to see that might help us spot something. thanks.

The folder structure was like this TV Shows > Code Geass > Code Geass Season 1 > Code Geass 1x01 - {Title} Code Geass 1x02 - {Title} ... Code Geass 1x25 - {Title} Code Geass Season 2 > Code Geass 2x01 - {Title} Code Geass 2x02 - {Title} ... Code Geass 2x25 - {Title} I'm not sure how to show the whole folder structure without taking multiple screenshots. I didn't change the file names but I just used metadata manager and fixed the season and episode numbers. When I clicked refresh (replace existing images) it fixed it.

Luke 42083 Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Yea it's unable to extract the season number from that folder name i would guess.
