didenno 0 Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Hi guys, i am a complete novice and do not have a clue how emby works but i'm willing to learn so here goes I have purchased a premier subscription and installed the emby server on my pc after researching how and i then entered my key details i received. Its all running on my pc but what i dont understand is, have i paid jyst to use this emby server or have i paid for media content as i thought. Do i have to pay additional fees to get live tv and movies on demand. How do i get media content? Have i just wasted my money

Emby serves up *your* media, it's not a streaming service...

This package allows you the ability to stream locally stored (owned) media from the server to external devices. How do you get this media content? By importing (ripping) owned DVD's / CD's / etc into the server. Once that is accomplished, all of that media will be available on the many available clients. Edited March 2, 2017 by skidmarks 1
