Remove pending MBserver installation?

I am now on  Version 3.0.5144.26879  and there is a pending update for MBServer (3.0.5147.28758) asking me to restart the server to finish applying the updates. However, restarting the server simply causes MBServer to stop running completely - requiring me to manually start the MBServer. And it still shows that the pending update is requiring a restart - which causes a crash - and the circle continues... Help?

Logs from the server will be required I'm sure.  You might try manually update (run setup.exe from the web).  But they will most likely want the logs first.

You can try shutting down the server and run the installer manually.
