can't connect to emby from my fire tv 4k

Hi am new to emby i have install the emby server on my computer but can not connect to it from my fire tv 4k

Hi there old_school, we're sorry to hear about your issue. Can you describe it a little bit more? is Emby Server running when you try to do this? What happens in the Fire TV Emby app? Does it give you an error message?

Hi yes emby server is running am getting error connecting to server on the app

 

Edit : don't know if this is cause i did not allowed it on public network on my windows firewall when ask by windows firewall

Hi i got it working now it was being block by windows firewall on public networks

 

Edit : got it working on the fire tv app and kodi for fire tv

Glad you got this working but, if you are dealing with a normal in-home network, I would ensure that it is setup as a Private network as most things will be blocked by default on a public one.

Hi ebr thanks i just check and my in-home network was set to public don't know why but i have set it back to private network
