Preview - trailers won't play malformed data

Not sure if this is just a work-in-progress, but just in case, when I choose  trailer to play from the roku preview app, it quickly quits (without ever playing anything) with a dialog of

(i) Video Error

-----------------------

malformed data

* OK

attached is the emby log, there was not ffmpeg log.

I totally understand if this is just a work in progress that part is not done yet.

Does the same trailer play from the web app?

Can you tell me exactly which trailer you tried?

Hi,

Here is a specific one Alien: Covenant.   It does play fine on the webclient, and also plays on the "standard" roku client.

Others I get the error with

Cars 3

Despicable Me 3

Beauty and Beast

and they all play in the webcclient

However, in trying some others for more complete testing the following all did play in the Preview:

13 Minutes

Also

Altered

The Battle of Tabato

Bends

Blind Detective

So it's not all just some.

Thanks,

Attached are some more logs:

Most of the ffmpegs are from when those that didn't play on the Roku Preview from their being played in the webclient.

However, emby-ffmpeg-0214d.txt  is the Roku successfully playing (transcode)  Alien: Covenant from the std Emby Roku client not the preview.

Thanks.

I think the beta is assuming it can direct play them but it can't all of them.  I'll have to test some fail-over techniques.  Thanks.

This should be addressed in the next beta.  Thx.

Please test with 1.19.15

Please test with 1.19.15

Played 3 trailers without issue.  You can see the load indicator fill to about half then fallback and reload (transcoded).

Yes everything plays in .15  Can confirm the progress bar fill and reset for those that are transcoded.

Thanks for fixing so fast.
