Emby Tower 34 Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 (edited) Hi, I've got a very big problem: Since the last update my path substitutions (the "old" way) will be deleted in system.xml everytime I start or restart the Emby server. For me the "old" path substitutions are the only practicable way, because I use a alphabetical folder structure in my root folders and so I'm forced to set all 27 folders of these library if the content type is "music" or "shows" for correct scraping. If I set the root folder, the scrapers always think the "letter" folders are shows or artists. With the new way I'm forced to create nearly 250 network shares for getting it back. Have you removed the "old" path substitutions completely? Edited February 7, 2017 by XBMC Workstation
Solution Luke 42077 Posted February 8, 2017 Solution Posted February 8, 2017 Hi @, we're going to restore them for a little longer. They will eventually be deprecated again though so you should switch over. Please try the next beta release to confirm you can use them again. Thanks ! 1
Emby Tower 34 Posted February 15, 2017 Author Posted February 15, 2017 Hi @@Luke, last week I updated all my libraries for only using UNC Paths without local paths and it was a very good idea! So for me there is no need to use the old way anymore!. But thanks for giving an alternative!
