dougw03 16 Posted February 11, 2017 Author Posted February 11, 2017 @@Luke, attached are two recording I did yesterday with mkv conversion. Both exhibit the issue I described earlier and I cannot seek these recordings. Luke 42078 Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Can you attach the corresponding server log? both of these recordings do not have graceful stops which means something abruptly terminated them.

dougw03 16 Posted February 15, 2017 Author Posted February 15, 2017 Hi @@Luke have you had a chance to review my server log? Thanks
Solution Luke 42078 Posted February 16, 2017 Solution Posted February 16, 2017 Everything appears normal, and then at the very end we try to issue a command to ffmpeg to gracefully close it. For some reason it does not close within 5 seconds so at that point we just terminate it. I'm going to increase that amount of time that we wait so that hopefully it will close on it it's own. 1

dougw03 16 Posted March 5, 2017 Author Posted March 5, 2017 Yes. @@Luke just so you know, this issue still persists in 3.2.5.
Luke 42078 Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 Try grabbing a newer ffmpeg from here: https://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/ You can then set it up in the emby server dashboard under the Transcoding menu. Thanks.

Thanks. @@Luke I have Shark 007 Codec Pack installed on my server machine which I believe installs a version of ffmpeg as part of the package. Do you know if this could cause compatibility issues with emby?
