Beta - More Than Latest Recordings?

First of all, just want to say I am loving the beta for watching Live TV -- especially the Guide and the ability to play an in progress recording!  These two features are huge to me with live TV and previously the only way I could do that was in Kodi on a cheap Chinese Google TV box I have that doesn't work nearly as well for anything else as my Roku stick.

 

Also I understand the preview is still in early stages so maybe I am just missing how I need to get there for now, but is there any way to get to recordings other than the 50 latest recordings?  Like how the original app would group all recordings by show (I have a lot of stuff Ive recorded and am behind on watching).  I can't seem to find a way to do that yet so am just wondering if I am just not seeing the option or if the new preview just doesn't have it yet but will eventually? 

 

Thanks in advance for all you developers do -- this new preview is amazing and I can't wait to make it my daily interface.

Hi.  Thanks for the feedback.

 

On the top "Library" row on the home page you should have a "Recordings" library.  If you open that, you should see a folder for series and going in there will show you all your recorded series.  Do you not have this item in your interface?

 

Also, if you just want a straight list (not grouped by series) of all the recordings, there is a "More..." button at the end of the latest recordings row.

Sorry for the delayed response, just got in from work.

 

Under Library on the main page, I just have Live TV.  Clicking on that gives me an "on now" row with the guide option, favorite channels, upcoming movies/sports/series, and then the latest recordings row.  No other recordings option.  I did figure out the "more" at the end of the latest, but am looking more for the grouped by series (I sometimes like to binge on stuff I've recorded).

Are you using an external service for your live TV?

Yes, mine is set up through NextPVR

Okay, that's why you don't have a recordings library up top.

Please try bringing up the "Live TV" library view with 1.19.9.  I think you will have a new row with your recorded series on it.  Since I don't have an external service setup right now, I'll need your help testing this.  Thanks :).

I do now have a row above "Latest Recordings" that says "Series" -- however, it only is showing 1 of 1, and the icon looks just like a loading circle that says Guide under it and I can't highlight it to select it.

Okay, that means whatever was returned by the query probably was something the app wasn't expecting.

 

I may have to setup an external service of some sort just to figure out what it is.  Thanks.

Actually, I just tried something.  Let's see if we get lucky with 1.19.10

Getting closer -- I now have the Series list there.  However, each folder shows that it contains one episode regardless of the actual number of episodes there are for that series.  Clicking the folder (no matter which folder) just has an entry that says Live TV with the same artwork from the main screen.  Clicking on that live TV entry takes me back to the Live TV library view as if I had clicked on Live TV from the home screen.

If you can give me access to your server remotely, perhaps I can use your installation to get this working properly.  You could just create a local ID and then PM me the IP address and user credentials.

 

No hurry though as it is almost SB time and I will be heading  out soon :).

Okay, I think I have this handled now.  Thanks very much for the access it made it much easier to get working properly.  You can remove my ID now.
