bentoscano 0 Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 Hi all, I am newish to Emby but have been having troubles in recent weeks. The following issues have occurred: Emby fails to load when navigating to http://localhost:8096 (will say 'Loading' but then never load) so I cannot even access the server When attempting to view the library, configure Emby, or visit the community, via the menu bar, upon clicking on any of these options the server will instantly crash Emby is using >100% CPU (as reported in Activity Monitor) I have removed Emby Server and related files from my Mac and reinstalled it to no avail. I am therefore running the latest version of Emby Server. I am admittedly running macOS Sierra 10.12.3 Beta 4 however it should be noted that I am running this same build on another Mac and Emby is running without issue. Logs are also attached. Please help where possible and let me know if I can provide any further details! Ben logs.zip
Luke 42081 Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 Do you have some library paths that are either no longer valid or are sometimes taken offline? 2017-01-15 14:13:53.6184 Error LibraryMonitor: Error watching path: /Volumes/External/Movies *** Error Report *** Version: 3.1.2.0 Command line: /Applications/Emby.Server.Mac.app/Contents/MonoBundle/Emby.Server.Mac.exe Operating system: Unix 16.4.0.0 64-Bit OS: True 64-Bit Process: False Mono: 4.6.2 (mono-4.6.0-branch/08fd525) Processor count: 4 Program data path: /Users/bentoscano/.config/emby-server Application directory: /Applications/Emby.Server.Mac.app/Contents/MonoBundle System.ArgumentException: Directory does not exist Parameter name: path
bentoscano 0 Posted January 15, 2017 Author Posted January 15, 2017 Do you have some library paths that are either no longer valid or are sometimes taken offline? I do indeed. /Volumes/External/Movies is now /Volumes/Media/Movies Is there any way I can get Emby to recognise this?
Luke 42081 Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 Well you have to reconfigure the library, except you can't because it's crashing on startup. This startup crash has already been resolved for the next release. What you can do in the meantime is go to /Users/bentoscano/.config/emby-server/root/default and just delete everything under there. then startup the server and go into library setup and reconfigure. 1
Solution bentoscano 0 Posted January 15, 2017 Author Solution Posted January 15, 2017 Well you have to reconfigure the library, except you can't because it's crashing on startup. This startup crash has already been resolved for the next release. What you can do in the meantime is go to /Users/bentoscano/.config/emby-server/root/default and just delete everything under there. then startup the server and go into library setup and reconfigure. Unfortunately that did not work. However, I deleted everything in /Users/bentoscano/.config/emby-server/ and that fixed it. So perhaps there is another file somewhere also causing the issue?
Happy2Play 9783 Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 (edited) That would have deleted the entire server if its layout is the same as Windows. edit: looks like your data path is different then the app path. Edited January 15, 2017 by Happy2Play
Luke 42081 Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 Yea it looks like you might have wiped out everything and if you don't mind that then you're good to go.
