Rumbaar 13 Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 In my library I have Movies, TV, Music & Music Videos. EMBY has created a custom mosaic image for the folders "Collections" & Music. How do I get it to create those for Movies, TV and Music Videos from the contents they contain? Also when it does, will it create a user specific mosaic image? ie if I've set a user can only view PG and below, it'll not have a selection of movies/TV they shouldn't be seeing.
Luke 42085 Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 It will do this for all libraries, there's nothing you need to do. The images are not per-user though, just fyi.
Happy2Play 9785 Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Deleting the current image will allow Emby to create a dynamic image. It can take awhile on some machines. As for locating the image it is a little bit of a pain, pulling ids from browser debug console then searching your cache folder for the dynamic image.

Strange it's been a while (at least a week), and it's created it for Collections and Music. So it'll eventually do it? Guess I'll have to manually do it, to avoid it rendering age inappropriate poster images. Deleting the current image will allow Emby to create a dynamic image. It can take awhile on some machines. Ah, the edit image and deleting it from within the library itself will not achieve this? It's currently got the default artwork for TV, Movies, etc. Guess I can make one manually, thanks.
Solution Happy2Play 9785 Posted January 10, 2017 Solution Posted January 10, 2017 Just testing this more on dev machine and adding a library (w/library scan) with media didn't create image. So I applied a image then removed it and preformed a library scan and a dynamic image was created. Not sure why image wasn't create with library addition and scan, or rescans. 1

Well that worked, I deleted the generic image EMBY had previously populated and ran a re-scan. It's generated the mosaic image.
Luke 42085 Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Yea those generic images are from a long time ago. Unfortunately if they are still there you will not get dynamic images. Nowadays for new installations we do not do any default images at all, just the dynamic ones.

Strange I only rebuilt this machine about two weeks ago, and didn't transfer anything (that I know of) that would have populated those images? But that wouldn't explain Happy2Play's, occurrence? I only used the server backup addon, but everything else would have been a fresh rebuild on a new drive. Edited January 11, 2017 by Rumbaar
ebr 16195 Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 If you restored your library definition, that probably brought the old image references along.
