drjonz 4 Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 My NUC (Win10 running Emby Server and Theater) has HDMI out to my Denon receiver which outputs to my TV. If I ever flip the receiver to another input (say I want to flip to Roku) and then flip back, Emby is no longer maximized. So I'm forced to grab a keyboard and click on the full screen box to get it full screen, then click it again to get it really full screen to where it hides the Windows task bar again. Any ideas on how to prevent this from happening?
Solution pir8radio 1312 Posted January 2, 2017 Solution Posted January 2, 2017 Same issue here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/40596-theater-squeezed-to-top-left-each-time-av-receiver-is-turned-on/ I have not done as suggested in the above post yet, but blocking pin 19 on the hdmi port seems to fix this for others.. google search: https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=pin%2019%20hdmi would confirm.. I suggested emby theater application check every 10 seconds or something to make sure it is in full screen if not force itself into fullscreen again... I guess its not an issue for most users, so they probably wont implement that.. 1
drjonz 4 Posted January 2, 2017 Author Posted January 2, 2017 Thanks @@pir8radio. It looks like buying that MDK device should work. Pricey, but probably worth it. I don't see the Emby guys bothering to work on something that would help so few.
Marc_G 95 Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Actually this would help a lot of us. i started a thread on basically this same issue recently. I am buying an HDMI detective to sidestep the problem.
