Bring back middle click > 'open in new tab'

Is it possible to bring back the ‘open in new tab’ functionality? If I'm not mistake there was a time where this was supported.

I found this very useful.

The latest release is great but in certain scenarios you have to click a lot more to reach your desired destination.
Adding the middle mouse click functionality would be a very nice for quickly browsing your library.

Other use case; I like to show my library to my guests and if they point out something they like to watch I have to create a collection to have an overview. Simply middle clicking would be a lot easier.

Please provide an update or any information about this change would be awesome.

I really miss 'open in new tab' option when deciding what I would like to watch.. new I clone the page but it's much less user friendly

That's not going to be easy.

So, why is it not possible to direct link to media?

From the plug-in 'Playback Reporting'

The tool tip even states it, it works. I click on the link and the an overview regarding the movie - in this case - opens up!

Why did we leave this design?
I just love opening 10 movies in different windows and take it in, all at the same time. Do note my 6 screen setup but that is mostly because I'm to cheap skate for 4K displays.
Back in the day, this is how I spent most of my 'Emby time'.

To get anywhere near to the same functionality I would duplicate the overview [tab] (as in 'duplicate' or 'clone'  'this/that tab', browser functionality) and I click on the media that I want to temporarly view (more than an hour), go back to the previous tab, continue looking around untill I see something that sparks my interest and then, repeat! Duplicate the tab, click on what ever, go back to the first tab.

Thank you
