gsites 14 Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 My embyserver can not find IPV6 automatically. How do I manually put the ipv6 address here? I'll put it whenever the address changes, I prefer to do so whenever I change until I can solve this problem with the emby server.2001:1284:bebf:cc00::5
Luke 42082 Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Hi, first of all, what problem are you trying to solve?
gsites 14 Posted November 27, 2016 Author Posted November 27, 2016 Hello,Thanks for answering the topic. The problem is that my internet provider in my house does not release the ports in ipv4 because it's CGNAT (I'm trying to many days to do the release but they do not allow it, because it's CGNAT, several clients using the same IPV4).But if you put IPV6 in the ports are released, then I think the best way to make it work. But, my embyserver, do not find the IPV6 automatically.I'll show you what happens.IPV4 port 8920 - Closedhttp://image.prntscr.com/image/38fcecbb4a50482eb5cd655d3a7c003a.jpeg IPV4 port 8096 - Closedhttp://image.prntscr.com/image/6d7f4cdc61b9455ead254f1faa3abd8d.jpeg IPV6 port 8096 - OPENhttp://image.prntscr.com/image/920fa26bf4274c289584032f94e2d0f3.jpeg IPV6 port 8920 - OPENhttp://image.prntscr.com/image/714a6620031c4af5979126194b031711.jpeg I have asked other times, but in other ways, and I have not been successful. Now, I'm asking for help in another way, I believe Emby will now run off my local network. I've done several tests in other ways and have not been successful. This way, putting the IPV6 manually, I believe it will work.NOTE: I was a plex.tv user for many years, but I got to know emby and I was amazed by the program, so I'm trying to make it work out of my network so my family can watch my videos. Thanks again
Solution Happy2Play 9783 Posted November 27, 2016 Solution Posted November 27, 2016 Well assuming that is the correct ipv6 then just place it in your External domain as [2001:1284:bebf:cc00::5]. Dashboard-Advanced-External Domain But I can't reach that address if it is accessible. 1
Luke 42082 Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Have you tried entering the ipv6 address manually from an Emby app to connect to the server? that's what you want to try first.
gsites 14 Posted November 27, 2016 Author Posted November 27, 2016 Have you tried entering the ipv6 address manually from an Emby app to connect to the server? that's what you want to try first. Yes, that's what I want to try first.
Luke 42082 Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Yes, that's what I want to try first. So try it. Go to Emby for Android or Emby for iOS, Roku, etc. Try to connect by manually entering the server address into the app.
