rms8 14 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Hi, I have several movies which I have ready to load to my server but they have already been watched via the disc, or seen a long time ago. Before I load them, I wanted to see if the movies.xml metadata file has an entry I can manually change/add so when the movies get transferred over to the server they will NOT show up under the recently added view. I'm trying to keep these movies (which we have already seen at one point or another) from pushing movies on the server (which we have not yet seen) further back in the Just added view. Thanks, Rob
Yogi 367 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Not at my pc right now but when in the server click on the tick for that particular movie and from memory that marks it as watched.

So I would just do it from the Server GUI after I copy the movies over to it as opposed to editing the movies.xml prior to copying them over?

Solution Pelon 203 Posted January 21, 2014 Solution Posted January 21, 2014 If I understand the question, you want to use the recently added view. If you mark an item as watched, it will still show in the recently added view, but it will be marked as watched. You can take the movie out from the recently added view by changing the date added in the movie edit view. If you put the date enough in the past, then it will not show as recently added. 2

AH, this is exactly what I was asking. Thanks. So, using the Server GUI, I would change the "date added" field to something in the past. correct?

Or if you want to edit the xml files, you can change the values in the "Added" tag. Pelon has it right, marking a movie watched won't change it's position in the recently added view. Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 (edited) You can edit the item and change the Date Added field to be earlier. It will no longer show in the recently added section. Edit: Seems it was already answered. Didn't read all the replies. Edited January 21, 2014 by Wayne Luke
