Playback of media when Recording starts

Hello,

 

Last 2 days, i was watching a previously recorded LiveTV episode and at the same time that a new recording of a different show happens to start, the playback pauses (in ET on 3 different computers I tested and all the sound and video pauses, but the elapsed time continues). closing and restarting ET and/or the computers had no effect. I couldn't get any previous recording to start (just the spinning circle). However, playback of movies functions ok (little slow to start, but plays). After waiting 10-15 minutes and trying again and it seems to work so something is happening at the start of recordings that's causing this it seems.

Thanks for the report. I haven't seen this but will keep an eye out for it.

No Problem. Just the last 2 days so not sure what kicked it off. Do those logs help? or do you need ET logs or any others as well.

Server drive was corrupt/failing that had the live tv stored & recording on. So that's why the problems.

 

However, it would cause ET to freeze and needed a force close or restart to recover. Maybe some sort of logic to prevent crashing ET in the future would help.
