Hi guys,

I know this has been asked a couple of times but I couldn't find anything that worked for me.

My setup is:

Windows 10

Emby server  3.0.8300.0

Kodi Jarvis 16.0 - now 16.1

Emby plugin 2.2.19

Everytime I start Kodi I get this "library sync thread has exited! You should restart kodi now. Please report this on the forum" message.

I tried to get rid of my db files - C:\Users\<me>\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\userdata\profiles\<me>\Database

MyMusic56.db

MyVideos99.db

Textures13.db

TV29.db

The only thing I managed is - Now I have nothing in my db and the error pops up as soon as I launch kodi.

Here's my kodi.log file.

Ps I have another profile set up on Kodi which does not seem to have this problem; a new profile I tried to create has the same problem.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give

Giovanni

Can a moderator please move this thread to the Kodi forums, thanks.

I don't see the error in your log. Please make sure you press Ok to the pop up first, then grab your log, otherwise the error doesn't get logged.

Sorry about posting in the wrong section.

I uploaded a new log file (opened Kodi, received Emby error, pressed Ok, exited Kodi).

Thank you

Look like after you manually deleted you DB it is now confused (can't tell what the original problem was).

Go into Video->Video Addons->Emby and select 'Perform local database reset'.

ok done, and... it didn't work :(

after the local database reset it asked to restart Kodi, I did that, it started as new, asked the server to connect to, performed movies scan, and blocked when it came to scanning tv shows (as soon as it was scanning The Affair, that is the first in the list).

Here is another log.

Can you give beta a try instead. The issue is the server is returning virtual episodes and we don't support that (hence why it's breaking). It's been corrected since.

I'm still fixing a few bugs, but I'm going to try to push a new stable version out soon.

I did the following:

- uninstall Kodi Add-on

- uninstall Emby leaving no trace

- reinstall Emby (the latest beta)

- let it rebuild the db

- reinstall Emby for Kodi

Everything ok. Sure I lost my seen/unseen progress, but at least it works again.

Thank you so much for your help!

I don't understand how you lost your watched status. Was it not correct on your server?

Glad you managed to get it working again.
