Audio issues with playback on Fire TV Stick

I looked and tried to see where this might have been posted already but did not see it.  My Emby app on the Fire TV stick was working up till today. I used it last yesterday morning. This is happening on multiple shows.

For shows where the audio is 5.1, the vocal track is not playing.  Just the background music. Last time this happened it was an issue where I needed to set the option Audio Output to Downmix to Stereo.  I checked and it is still set to that.  Version shows 1.2.66a Registered if that is helpful.

Any thoughts?  I am able to stream the shows to my computer just fine.

What is the stick plugged into?

What is the sound system?

Do you have the options to bitstream DD or DTS selected?

Just the TV at the moment.  And no those are not selected.

Is the item transcoding or direct playing (is an ffmpeg log created on the server)?

I am not sure. Where can I check to find that?  I am running the server on Windows 10.

ok.  i think i have the log.  Not really sure how to interpret it.  Here is what I see:

Yeah, it isn't requesting the downmix on the transcode and I'm not sure why...

I guess my question is what would be my next step.  Anything I can do?  I am guessing this was somehow brought in with a recent update?  Any way to revert to an older version of the app?

We are trying to determine where the problem actually lies so we can correct it.

Thanks,.  Let me know what else you may need from me to help.  I will do my best.

You are going to want to figure out the marketing settings in your Amazon account so that you can get a beta and test it when we have something.  Thanks.

Hello, I have since yesterday the same problem

We are looking into this guys, thanks for your patience.

If one of you guys could test the beta that went up last night that would be great.  Thanks.

It is working now if I also have bitstream Dolby Digital Audio enabled.  If I turn that off it has the same issue.  Not sure if that is right, but there it is.  Version shows 1.2.68a if that is the right one.

If you don't have that option checked, is it still transcoding or is it direct playing?

if I am reading the log right it is transcoding.  I am attaching it here.  To be clear this has downmix to stereo set and bitstream Dolby Digital not checked.

Luke - is it not respecting the TranscodingMaxAudioChannels parameter because the video is stream-copying?  In which case, our suggested mods will take care of this?

Please try again with .69.  Thanks.

I will not be in a position to try till late tonight or possibly tomorrow. I will post back when I have.

Yeah, sorry, this requires a server update as well.  I know it is in dev.  Not sure if it is in beta yet.

It's in stable so make sure you're running 3.0.8300.
