Strange LG Playback Problem

I have a strange problem where I am unable to play some movies to my LG 47LM6410-TB but the same movie plays to my LG 32LB5820-TB.

To further confuse the problem if I change the movie name & fan art by using the identify option it plays perfectly well on both tv’s, I do not have to rename or re-encode the original video.

This also happens the other way around if I have a working video and identify it as For example Captain America: Civil War or Independence Day: Resurgence it fails to play on 47LM6410-TB

Thank you

Interesting, I wonder if there is something about the images that it doesn't like. Maybe you could try removing images and seeing if that does the trick? I'd love to know the answer to this.

Thanks for the prompt reply

I deleted all files except the MKV & NFO files that are located in my media folder (I have Save artwork and metadata into media folders selected) there were JPG & PNG files. But the problem hasn't changed

Thanks

Can you try blanking out some of the metadata fields? there is probably some piece of data that it doesn't like. thanks.

Thanks for pointing me to metadata it appears there must be a limit to how much metadata as if I am to remove about 20 of the people listed in the movie from either end actors / support staff the movie will then work

After further investigation it appears if the NFO file is 20K or larger the video fails to play, I wonder is this a fault with the TV.

Thanks for your help

Do you mind repopulating the metadata and narrowing it down more? I thought it was going to be due to a long overview. So if you refresh fully and then limit to 10 people, does that work?

I tried multiple time by repopulating and deleting it appears to be around 18 - 20 people removed from Independence Day which has about 165 listed.

I also noticed that after I removed enough people I was able to play movie without restarting My TV when the NFO file was only slightly larger than 20K, but on a movie that had 27K NFO file I had to restart My TV before it would play

Thanks, i'm going to limit the number of people we send back in the xml responses to the devices. that should help clear this up. thanks.
