2 Series Merged by error

Hi,

 

I have a small issue with Emby server:

I have 2 different series "Dragon Ball" and "Dragon Ball Z" in my server, they are both filed in different folders:

...\Series\Dragon Ball\Season 1

...\Series\Dragon Ball Z\Season 1

Etc.

 

Unfortunaly Emby have organised them under one single serie.

 

Is there a possibility to unmerge them ?

I could not find the option in Emby.

I would make sure they don't have the same external ids in Metadata Manager.

Actually in the metadata manager there is only one serie that appears.

Emby does not recognise the 2 series even in the metadata manager...

 

Is there a posibility to manually add the missing serie  ?

Do you store your metadata with your media?

 

If so, you could look directly in the nfo or xml files for each series.

Unfortunately, I don't store them with the files.

I have different softwares accessing the files, so I try to keep the folders clean form any additional nfo or xml.

Looks like the only way to correct this would be removing both series, performing a library scan, adding the series that was miss identified, perform library scan.  If still identified wrong, re-identify the series with the correct information.  Then add the other series and hopefully it is identified properly.

This is exactly what I was going to suggest as well.

If the metadata manager only shows one of the merged series, I truly hope this behavior will be reviewed/adjusted. No feature should remove entries from the metadata manager and prevent them from being modified from within the server.

 

That's just asking for trouble if/when something goes wrong....

OK, problem fixed.

 

I remove both shows from the Series folder. When it desapeared from the database, I added Dragon Ball, fixed the entry in the metadate manager (it was again recognised as DBZ).

Finally added DBZ files back.

Now I have the 2 Series correctly identified in Emby server.
