Album child items metadata change

Hello,

 

I went to change the genre of an album, then noticed it only changed the albums genre, but all the individual songs genres remained unchanged. Is there a way to have these "entire album" metadata fields cascade to the items within the album?

at this point you really want to use an id3 tag editor to change the song genres within the songs themselves. then the server will see that and update the songs and album accordingly. we don't currently support id3 tag output. i'm sure eventually we will.
