Tansill 0 Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Recently I've started the intensive process of converting my tv and movie library, which are currently all in folder rips, to MKV. I started on a single tv season (US The Office, Season 1, DVD format) as a proof of concept to make sure everything is working right. I've noticed that when I converted my old episodes to MVK (essentially replacing the "Audio/Video_TS" folders with a single MKV file), the "new" episodes do not show up in either MBT or MBClassic. The high-level "Season 1" images and metadata are there, but if I click into Season 1, it's empty...none of the episodes show up. Oddly, in MBClassic, on the EHS, the episodes do appear, but sans any metadata. I tried converting a BluRay episode of Game of Thrones Season 2 as well, with the same result; When I go into the Season 2 library, episodes 1-9 (which are still in BluRay folder rips) appear fine, but episode 10 (which is the newly converted MKV) is missing. I believe I've previously read that mixing folder rips and MKVs can cause this problem, but not sure if that is/was still the case. Thoughts? Thanks.
Solution Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted January 15, 2014 Solution Posted January 15, 2014 (edited) What does your directory structure look like? What are you naming the files? You might need to bring them inline with the specifications here: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/MediaBrowser/wiki/Library-Structure Examples 1 and 3 for television is what you're looking for. I use the following structure without problem: /TV Series /Seinfeld /Season 1 Seinfeld.S01E01.The Seinfeld Chronicles.mkv Seinfeld.S01E02.The Stake Out.mkv Seinfeld.S01E03.Number Six.iso Edited January 15, 2014 by Wayne Luke 1
Tansill 0 Posted January 15, 2014 Author Posted January 15, 2014 Thanks Wayne, that was it. I had the files inside the individual "sXXeXX, sXXeYY, sXXeZZ" folders left behind from the folder rips.
