Question about fire stick app

I've recently installed Emby on my Ubuntu server and like it so far. I have 2 tvs one being a samsung and have the emby app on it and love it. I'm looking at a firestick for my other tv and I'm confused by the reviews for the app on the firestick. Do I have to pay for an Emby premier account to use the firestick app?
