Configurable delay for metadata collection

Hi,

I would like to float the idea of having a configurable delay for metadata fetching.

I've put a considerable amount of effort into automating most of my media downloading, metadata fetching and genral media centre experience.

The only real issue I have left is trying to get all of the tools I use to play nice together.

The last issue I seems to have is in getting Media Centre Master and MB3 to play nice.

For movies I generally use CouchPotato to automate the downloading.  I will also download some manually.

I use  to watch a folder, work out an IMBD id and move the files into my library.  This process also takes care of the renaming of the folder, media files and subtitles as well as downloading a local trailer for the title.

This is where things tend to mess up.  As soon as the folder is dropped into the library, MB3 sets off and starts gathering metadata while MCM is still working on it.  Somtimes this ends up with me having 2 folders with basically all of the metadata, but one folder with the actual movie file.

I've tried coming at this from MCM side.  Its not currently possible to configure MCM to process the move (move, rename folder and movie and then download trailer) without also fetching metadata.

That leaves me with this request.  Would it be possible to introduce a configurable delay on the metadata fetching so that after the folder watcher has found a change, it waits for a set delay before attempting metadata fetch?

If not can you think of any other methods I could use to allow MC to do the things that it does and MB3 doesn't, but allow MB3 to continue to fill in holes in metadata at times after the initial addition of the movie to the library?  (Sometimes I find logos etc turn up a week or more after the movie has been added.
