When i use the Roku app for TV it says upgrade to pro for the Full Guide. What does that mean? Is their a pay Roku version?

Just be forwarned, the guide is not a grid style guide like you area accustomed to seeing just about everywhere else.  It presents in the same ROKU fashion and it can be laggy when you are trying to scroll through a lot of channels.  I almost never use the guide and I pay for a premier subscription.  The information is there, but the functionality isnt great.

 

I dont watch much live TV but when I do, I use the channel list.  You can see the channel and the current show playing.  I think it works much better.  I use the Android or Web for recording scheduling.

Just FYI - that's not really true anymore.  Yes, that's still how your old style DVR or cable box shows it, but most of the new streaming interfaces do not present guide data in that fashion.

I meant a guide layout like you see on the emby web interface or android app.  Essentially, the roku guide isnt pretty.
