Error Extracting

I am attempting to allow Emby to update and have run into an issue with the update process. No matter whether I try the beta version or the stable release, I get the following message generated in the install log after the program hangs up on the "Extracting" icon part of the process.

 

I haven't changed any settings on my server machine in months now. THe only changes made have been to add media and update Emby a few times a week.

 

Clearly, there is some sort of permission error firing, but I am unsure how to resolve this one, since I have not changed anything.

When browsing for the specified path, there is no file listed ...\x64\CORE_RL_wand_.dll

 

There are plenty of other core .dll files, but that ones is missing for some reason. Thoughts from any one on how I can fix this?

Hi

 

Try renaming the folder

 

C:\Users\james\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\System

 

to

 

C:\Users\james\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\System.temp

 

and then try a fresh install.

 

You can always revert back by renaming System.temp to System.

 

If the new install works you can then delete C:\Users\james\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\System.temp

Hmmm...

 

I have tried renaming the system folder system.temp. I went to the Emby download page and tried both the stable release and the beta version. Both of them are hanging up on the same portion, trying to extract package. I continue to get the same error message in the install log as that posted above.

Try rebooting your computer.

Combining both solutions seems to have fixed the issue. Thanks.
