Added a new user and now user dashboard wont load

It just keeps showing the circle since i added a user. Tried rebooting, tried restarting actual server and cant get onto manage any of my users. Any suggestions please?

Is there a way to manually remove that user so then I can see if it loads or any other methods that might make it load the user dashboard?

If you can identity the correct one, it should be here: %AppData%/MediaBrowser-Server/config/users/

 

Or

 

%AppData%/Emby-Server/config/users/

 

depending on how long you've had Emby installed.

ive had it installed a while, what do i do just delete the folder? and what would be the best way to go about it? sort them by date order and delete the latest one? checking obviously its not my admin account

How can I manually remove the last 2 users I added to see if this fixes the issue? Without doing it through the dashboard as removing the 2 folders assigned to those users from the above dirs does not get rid of them.

Check the policy.xml file in each of the user's folder.

 

You can check the IsAdministrator flag for the right one.

I have removed the correct folders they were the only 2 accounts created and modified today. This hasnt removed the users from the DB and the user dashboard still wont load.

I have just modified and removed the 2 users from users.db, reset the file ownership and started the server again and the 2 users are STILL there and the user dashboard still wont load im lost as to where else they are stored or how else this can be fixed?

When you are logged in with you admin user is the option just no available or is the Dashboard just not loading?

Just not loading, tried different browsers aswell to see if the problem was a cache issue but still the same

Not seeing anything in the logs and since a non-windows system I'm not sure, but adding users wouldn't/shouldn't have any affect on the dashboard beside user access if permission were grant to manage.

Mmm thats what I thought im baffled. I cant get it to load i did recently upgrade the server this morning to the new release so im wondering if its something to do with this.

 This is all i get i cant change user permissions and I need to set certain user permissions for dirs like what they can and cant do aswell.. I can see i can do them manually but im abit lost as to what does which and what users can and cant use/see from each line in the config.xml and policy.xml

Can you bring up the browser debug console and see if there are any messages there?

This topic needs closing, Either my emby client has fixed its self OR ive come to my friends house and used another machine and its now working. Thank you for all your help guys and sorry if this was a total waste of time which it seems it was. Many regards for your time though.
