Emby for FireTV not Compatible

Hi all, I'm trying to install the emby for FireTV app into my parent's firetv,and when I search on the FireTV the app doesn't show up. When I search online, it states that neither of my parents' FireTV boxes are compatible. They have a gen 1 FireTV updated to the latest version. Is there anything I am missing?

No, it is definitely compatible with the Gen 1.  Try re-starting the device.

So I restarted the device to no avail. I did a factory reset and it is not showing up, even after that.
