robotarmy 0 Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 (edited) Hi, everyone! Trying to get Emby working in order to consolidate my Kodi libraries for multiple HTPCs w/o going the SQL route. My movies folder on my server is organized as such: a folder for each movie, which also contains an .nfo file, which contains AT LEAST the TMDB link, and sometimes other data, like title and set info, if i need to overwrite some of TMDB data. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to get Emby to scrape this the way Kodi does. As a test, i made a "test movies" folder which contains the following 5 sub-folders: * Deadpool (2016) - "Deadpool (2016).mkv" and an .nfo file "Deadpool (2016).nfo" with JUST movie and title tags, forcing the title to "Watchmen". no TMDB link. * Toy Story (1995) - no .nfo, just the video file "Toy Story (1995).mkv" * Toy Story 2 (1999) - "Toy Story 2 (1999).mkv" and an .nfo file "Toy Story 2 (1999).nfo" with JUST a TMDB link, pointing to the movie "Tommy Boy" * Toy Story 3 (2010) - "Toy Story 3 (2010).mkv" and an .nfo file "Toy Story 3 (2010).nfo" with movie and title tags, forcing the name to "Wedding Crashers: Unrated Edition" as well as a TMDB link, pointing to Wedding Crashers * Zootopia (2016) - just the video file "Annie Hall (1977).avi after adding a library pointing to this folder, here are the results. Deadpool scraped as Deadpool, but with the title "Watchmen" (Good) Toy Story scraped as Toy Story. (Good) Toy Story 2 scraped as Toy Story 2 (ERROR: should have scraped as Tommy Boy) Toy Story 3 scraped as Toy Story 3, but with the title "Wedding Crashers: Unrated Edition" (ERROR: should have scraped as Wedding Crashers) Zootopia did not scrape a match. Title is "Zootopia (2016) and year is "1977" (ERROR: Weird) Can anyone point me in the direction of what i'm doing wrong? Under SETTINGS > METADATA > SERVICES i have "nfo" listed as the top metadata reader. is there more i have to do? Or can Emby just not do what i'm trying to do? Thanks! Luke 42081 Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 i think right now that url technique is only implemented for imdb urls. we'll have to add the same for tmdb
robotarmy 0 Posted March 13, 2016 Author Posted March 13, 2016 aww bummer. heh, there go my dreams i'll keep an eye on future release change logs, dreaming for the day!
Solution Luke 42081 Posted March 13, 2016 Solution Posted March 13, 2016 if you're running windows, i've added it to the dev server which you can grab from the website. 1
