Marv 9 Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Hi, I just rescanned my whole movie library to Emby Server because I made changes in my nfo files using MediaElch. Unfortunately when I add my movies to the Emby library again it doesn't pick up the new watched states that I changed for some movies in the nfo files. I already tried a full refresh on the affected movies but this doesn't help. Are there any files I need to delete in my config folders before rescanning the library maybe?
Luke 42079 Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 we'd have to look at some specific examples. have you configured the user to sync watch state with under metadata settings -> nfo?
Marv 9 Posted March 12, 2016 Author Posted March 12, 2016 No I have not checked this. Isn't this option to update the nfo file when some movie has been watched? What I want to do is to just reimport all my media. When I do this the watched state of my movies is not updated. For tvshows this works though. I know this worked before. Using the latest Emby Server version. I also tried deleting the library.db and refreshinfo.db files.
Solution ebr 16184 Posted March 12, 2016 Solution Posted March 12, 2016 it doesn't pick up the new watched states that I changed for some movies in the nfo files. No I have not checked this. We don't normally store watched status in the metadata because we are based on multiple users. We track our watched status in our own database. We provide the sync to nfo option, however, for people who use other systems as well as Emby that do store the watched status in the nfo. So, if you don't set the sync to nfo option then we aren't going to read or write the watched status there.
Marv 9 Posted March 13, 2016 Author Posted March 13, 2016 ah I got it. Thanks, working like a charm again
