Music share not recognized during scan

So I have mixed media (videos, pics and music) in my media share but emby refuses to create a music volume (like it did for collections and TV).  I'm following all of the music naming conventions in the wiki and the Metadata Manager lists the music directory under my media share but several scans have not resulted in the media being discovered.  I can't find anything in the logs that indicates an issue.  Any suggestions?

we haven't really implemented this for mixed content. i would try setting it up as a music library.

Do you mean that I would need to create a separate share just for music then (i.e. \\serverip\media for videos and pics and \\serverip\music for music)?  Currently, everything is under the media share.  Will emby mount the share automatically?  I've had issues with this in the past using smb.

right now yes, and no, we don't create shares on your system automatically.

Just wanted to report back that changing the content type to Music and creating a separate library worked well.  I didn't realize previously that I could choose specific folders within my media share to scan for each library type.  This is a very useful feature as I only have to mount one share but have the collections in 3 separate libraries.  I'm really loving emby...now I just need to upgrade my server!
