Multi-version movie - how do I choose the version?

Hi

I have a multi-version movie. Named it according to this: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Movie%20naming (multi-version movies). So it looks like this:

random-movie\random-movie - cut MP3.avi

random-movie\random-movie - uncut AC3.avi

But when playing this via the webinterface or via the Win10-Emby-App it will always play the uncut AC3. How is it possible to choose the cut MP3 version?

Hi, unfortunately there isn't a menu at this time to choose the one you want to play. The apps look for the one that is most efficient for them. If there's no difference in efficiency, it goes by the one that is higher quality. i'm sure eventually we'll have a way for you to force select the one you want.

Ok, thanks... So I'll keep the library as it is and wait for this feature :) Should I open a feature request somewhere?

@@Luke / Team,

I'd like to see this fetaure also. I've got numerous 3D movies that currently sit in a seperate directory but would be great if I could store them with their relevant 2D counterparts and just select the version when deciding to play the movie :)

random-movie\random-movie - 1080p.mkv

random-movie\random-movie - 3D.sbs.mkv

I have a few movies with 2 versions as well ex: watchmen and watchmen ultimate cut. I just have both files in seperate folders so they show up as 2 items in Emby. Then all I did was change the posters to match the movie. For now it works well for me

I like to group different cuts as a collection.

Or you could make a collection of the different versions so if you have emby set to group collections you would select the movie collection then select which version you want to watch
