I have noticed that every beta now I have to manually download the setup file to upgrade has the auto update been disabled ? Before there was an update button but even that is gone.

it has not been disabled. did you perhaps disable automatic updates in the server, or are you running as a windows service?

Hi Luke, That is what I though as well but it is not. I don't think I am running it as a service but will check later tonight. I did find it very odd that you would make us manual download the setup file and install again. Once there is a new update I will take a screenshot so you can see exactly what it says.

I'm not making you do anything, as I already said, it's not been disabled. You're probably running as a service, which has never had support for automatic updates.

This option is not available when running as a service.  As you can see the difference in our screenshots.  What is Emby set to in services.msc?

I see the difference, when not running as a service the page is black instead of white ;)

I have changed the service setting from manual to disable, uninstall emby installed it again restarted the pc and still dont have enable automatic server updates that happy2play had. There is an emby icon in the taskbar with few options like restart server, configure emby etc.

If any one has suggestions thanks in advance

Sorry for digging up a sorta old thread.  Just to confirm, auto update isn't an option for running as a service?  Is that a relatively recent change (last few months)?

Nope it has always been that way.  That is why community member created this script.
