hatharry 113 Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 (edited) When using a reverse proxy i am faced with this prompt. If i put in a username and password the prompt reappears but if I click cancel the prompt goes away and i can login as normal. Any ideas why this is happening? Edited January 11, 2016 by hatharry
pir8radio 1312 Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 (edited) your IIS settings for that site, are set to anonymous access correct? Is this https? or not? Any reason you are forced to use iis for the reverse proxy? :-) Oh yea, not sure how your doing the reverse proxy, but if you have any kind of landing page, like meta refresh to a different page.. make sure that html file has the IIS user rights in the OS.. Luke 42080 Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Yea that's not an Emby prompt. I'm not sure what the issue is, sorry.
Solution hatharry 113 Posted January 12, 2016 Author Solution Posted January 12, 2016 Fixed it by disabling windows authentication
pir8radio 1312 Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 so in other words, IIS was not set to anonymous access mode..
hatharry 113 Posted January 12, 2016 Author Posted January 12, 2016 anonymous was enabled as well as windows 1
