trailer plugin keeps downloading trailers multiple times

I'm using the trailers plugin for mediabrowser3 server.  I enabled "Enabler local trailer downloads for existing movies".  I have seen up to 8 copies of the same trailer get downloaded for a single title.  It appears it keeps downloading the same trailer over and over again.  How do you trigger the plugin to know there already exists a trailer?

Just want to note a second issue.  My "sample" files also got a trailer added as well.
