emby server version 3.0.5781.1 will not play anything now!!!!!

something is wrong with ffmpeg. try shutting down the server, then deleting this folder:

/mnt/cache/mb3server/ProgramData-Server/ffmpeg/20150917

then start the server back up. then provide that log. thanks.

ok, try going here, downloading the appropriate ffmpeg

http://johnvansickle.com/ffmpeg/

then replace the ffmpeg and ffprobe within

/mnt/cache/mb3server/ProgramData-Server/ffmpeg/20150917

make sure to mark them with the appropriate execute permissions. thanks.

I downloaded  ffmpeg-release-64bit-static.tar.xz.   I see that there are lots of files inside the folders.  am I using them all or just two files?    in my 20150917 folder, I only have the following..  see attached image

yes just replace those two files. i thought your system was 32 bit?

ah yes, thanks for reminding me. I wasnt 100% sure.   Was gonna look it up before I was planning to do anything.   I'm using UnRaid 5.   I will replace those two files when I get home from work

noticed FFmpeg Version is saying 2.7.1 in my server

 

Mono Version:3.8.0

SQLite3 Version:3.7.5

FFmpeg Version:2.7.1

MediaInfo Version:0.7.46

InfoZip Version:6.00

its working now. I am using the ffmpeg-2.7.1-32bit-static files.    any idea what happen?  why cant i use the latest version?

Not sure. Maybe something wrong with the newer 32 bit ffmpeg versions. 64 bit users haven't reported it.
