Deleting library.db but not artwork (NOT using nfo/xml files)

I'm on the latest stable 3.0.5724.6 and I do not use nfo/xml files, i.e. artwork is saved in %appdata%\Emby-Server\metadata

 

If I delete library.db and refreshinfo.db but not %appdata%\Emby-Server\metadata and then trigger a library scan, will Emby re-fetch artwork or is it smart to detect it's already there? If the former, will it simply overwrite or create additional files, leaving me with tons of orphaned artwork?

 

The reason is that I want to update the "date added" timestamp (my library was scanned with "use date scanned into library" and I want to change to "file creation date" ... impossible from the GUI)

I was brave to try it and can confirm that deleting library.db and refreshinfo.db but not %appdata%\Emby-Server\metadata and the rescanned the library does not download artwork again. Emby identified the previous artwork and assigned it to the videos.
