Astyanax 1 Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Hello: Just switched from MB classic to the new Media Browser 3, and overall, it's been a great transition. But I have a question with a new feature that I'm hoping to disable: I use MB primarily for movies. I don't do box sets, and I display in cover flow mode for the most part. It seems now that my folder groups for movies are displaying the overall time for the folder below each folder image. So if my "Kids Movies" section has 20 movies in it, below the folder name it might say "210 hours, 38 minutes". This is useless to me and a distraction. Is there any way to disable it? Thank you! 1
ebr 16169 Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 What client app are you using? You said you went from MBC to MB 3...? Do you mean MB Theater?
ebr 16169 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 There is no mediainfo Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Astyanax 1 Posted December 4, 2013 Author Posted December 4, 2013 Sorry, I'm using the Windows Media Center client. Haven't tried Theater, but I'm looking forward to checking it out. So in that regard, I'm still on Classic, just 3.0 with the new server. Thank you!
Astyanax 1 Posted December 4, 2013 Author Posted December 4, 2013 I'll post a screen shot later this evening so you can better see my issue. Thanks for all the attention!
Astyanax 1 Posted December 4, 2013 Author Posted December 4, 2013 (edited) See the screen shots below. I am so off base about this being MB3. For some reason I had it in my head that it was, but I see now I'm on MB 2.6. I had upgraded from 2.2 to 2.6. So sorry, I'm in the wrong forum! That all said, I wish to disable the folder time counts you can see on the first screen shot. Is that possible? Thank you!! Edited December 4, 2013 by Astyanax

gcw07 347 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 (edited) I may be wrong, but I think he was saying that he went from MB2 to MB3. He was just calling MB2, Classic. Edited December 3, 2013 by gcw07
Astyanax 1 Posted December 4, 2013 Author Posted December 4, 2013 Correct, yes, I was using the "Classic" term incorrectly. I went from MB2 to MB3. I'm using the default theme. No plugins except MediaInfo. Thanks!
Astyanax 1 Posted December 4, 2013 Author Posted December 4, 2013 Uh, not sure, now that you mention it. I'll have to check. I'm pretty sure I had re-downloaded the plug-in from the Configurator once I switched to MB3, but I might be remembering it wrong.
ebr 16169 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 You should upgrade. And, no, I dont' believe there is any way to turn that off without also turning off the Name labels.
Astyanax 1 Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 Thanks all, very much. I will upgrade.
Astyanax 1 Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 (edited) Okay, this issue is still open for me, and still kind of a big deal. I'm now running MB Classic on MB3 Server. See the screenshots below. Is there any way to remove what's shown in the circled areas? Some INI file parameter or something? It's meaningless and a distraction. What it comes down to is that I don't want folder times to show. Thank you! Edited December 5, 2013 by Astyanax
Solution ebr 16169 Posted December 5, 2013 Solution Posted December 5, 2013 No, as I said before, not without also removing the label. You could come up with some new icons that have labels on them and then turn off showing the labels and that would do it. Or, you could always try a different theme. 1
