jakass202 0 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Evening all, Have returned home to a non functioning media browser setup. As far as i can tell the media browser server is not broadcasting on the correct ip address (if at all). My setup. MediaBrowser Server Windows Server 2012 R2 with NIC Teaming on (3xNICs combined) static IP 192.168.0.1 MediaBrowser Classic Windows 7 Pro x64 I can view the dashboard/media on the server itself going to http://localhost:8096 however unable view via its computer name (earth) or its ip address 192.168.0.1. When i try to view from any other device it is the same - I do a portquery of 8096 from my mac and its not open on 192.168.0.1, so my assumption is its not binding to the ip address at all. I havent done anything to mandate a change/problem as it was working on the above setup last week!! Have attached latest log file as per instructions - any suggestions bar re-installing (as i have yet to do this), have updated to latest beta in hope it may rectify the issue. Any help greatly appreciated!! Jake MediaBrowser Server Version 3.0.5081.21515 server-63521446745.log
Luke 42077 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Something likely is amiss with your networking or system. Our server binds to IP address any which means it sees all traffic on port 8096. If the port isn't open not much we can do. If there's no ip's not much we can do either.
Luke 42077 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 I debugged a similar issue with someone else and it turned out he had malware that wrote to his host file.
jakass202 0 Posted December 1, 2013 Author Posted December 1, 2013 host file has nothing it in find it bizarre that its working on the server itself via http://localhost:8096 but cant do computer name or the ip address im reinstalling
