strychnine 0 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 On W7 64 bit installation crashes getting side by side error 59 when trying to install client, installs fine on W8.1. Why on earth do you need to make people download a install program that needs to go out and download more when client is not that big? Is there somewhere I can download installation complete instead of using crappy side by side?
ebr 16169 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 What client are you trying to install? And in what environment? Are you installing it on a work computer? We use ClickOnce to simplify the installation. Our application requires certain other components and this method give the user a one click way to install everything that is needed.

Classic Windows 7 64 bit and no it is not a work computer. Well your installation must be overlooking a prerequisite because it does not throw error and event log only has the side by side error that say xml file is not correct.
strychnine 0 Posted December 4, 2013 Author Posted December 4, 2013 Ping to the top since no one has a answer to problem
Solution ebr 16169 Posted December 4, 2013 Solution Posted December 4, 2013 Then why is it marked as solved? I'm not sure what is going on here but it seems like ClickOnce is having a bad interaction with something else you have in your environment. I suggest trying to clear out the ClickOnce cache (Google it).
