Images and metadata prunning in Emby

I was wondering if Emby server has any mechanism for metadata and images prunning/cleanup.

For example when an item is removed or refreshed in the library is there any process that will check if old or not needed anymore metadata and images related to that object should be purged?

 

The idea would be to keep the server and its data as light and clean as possible.
