hansolo77 11 Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I had a server crash and wasn't able to save my original Emby Server settings. When I reinstalled it, I ran it through to scan the library. When it was finished, I suddenly now have a whole bunch of .nfo files stored in the path of my content. Like, each episode of a tv show now also has an associated .nfo. I'm not sure what settings I need to change to prevent this from happening. I like to use Media Center Master to get all the basic metadata, and Emby was used as a 2nd grabber to get things MCM missed. I have MCM configured to store metadata in a subfolder for each media called metadata which is also hidden by default. This method has worked great. I'd like to reconfigure Emby to work in harmony like this was before. What do I need to do?
Solution Happy2Play 9783 Posted August 11, 2015 Solution Posted August 11, 2015 Have you adjusted your settings in Metadata-Services for each content type? You will probably also need to change <ImageSavingConvention> to "Legacy" instead of "Compatible". http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/18212-episode-thumbnails-no-longer-in-metadata-subfolder/?hl=imagesavingconvention&do=findComment&comment=178368 2
hansolo77 11 Posted August 11, 2015 Author Posted August 11, 2015 I just did that, it's rescanning now. I didn't change the Legacy setting yet, but I'll do that next.
hansolo77 11 Posted August 11, 2015 Author Posted August 11, 2015 Looks like that did the trick. Thanks!
