rich110 2 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Hi, I'm a long time user of MediaPortal and came to MB3 via the MP plugin thread on the MP forums. I've installed MB3 server and MB3 Theater on several clients and I must say that so far I'm am very impressed. The way it handles and display my media collection (particularly across a wide range of devices) is awesome. If and when TV functionality is added, I will definitely be jumping across. My question though, I have created a collection called "Kid's Shows" that has a mix of TV Series and Movies. I assigned the media type as "Mixed Content" but only the TV Series are recognised properly in the media scan. The movies are not assigned an "External ID" source like my other movie collection. I tried changing the "Source Type" from 'Video' to 'Movies' but this didn't help. So, is there a way I can manually add an "External ID" source, for example IMDB? Thanks, and keep up the good work. Rich

Solution Luke 42077 Posted November 23, 2013 Solution Posted November 23, 2013 if the source type is Video, that means it's not being recognized as a movie. what does the folder structure look like? 1
rich110 2 Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 Thanks for both your replies. @ebr: My original question was regarding what to do when there were no provider id's listed in the 'External ID's' section. How to manual put some in there. if the source type is Video, that means it's not being recognized as a movie. what does the folder structure look like? @luke: Turns out you were on the right track. All the movies were grouped into a single folder. As soon as I put each movie file into it's own folder, MB3 regnised them as movies and completed the import process. Cheers, Rich
