Just about to migrate from 2.6.x to 3 but I have a few questions

Hi!

I've been using MB for quite a while now and I'm still loving it. But lately I got the urge to try out the MB3 branch of this wonderful system, but I have a few questions:

1- If my collection is already setup with all the metadata already (using MCM) for MB 2.6.x, will the migration be transparent or will I end up with a bit of file cleaning to do?

2- Is there a Neo like theme available? (not really a deal breaker as many other theme, especially Throgsoft one are great).

3- My system (win7 x64) is presently configured to use MPC-HC with MadVR and with Shark007 codecs. Will this present a problem?

4- If I set my system to use the MB3 Classic client, will I be able to switch to the MB3 Theater client later on with any impact in functionnality?

5- In MB2 there was a Podcast option (never really use it). Does MB3 has a way to link to vidcast channels like TwiT, CNet or Techcrunch?

6- Is there an upgrade pricing option from 2.6.x to 3 (not important since I intend to pay the full price to show my appreciation for your hard work and dedication).

Thank you!

Thanks!

I'll go ahead and install it tonight. As for paying... well, I really think you guys deserve it. I've been using your product for years and I enjoy them so I'm okay to contribute back something.

Thanks again!

The metadata migration is transparent, but removing all your current metadata and allowing the server to download it fresh will allow you to take full advantage of new mb3 features.

And this is a free, open source product. You only need to pay if you want to use some of the premium or supporter plugins.

To the rest, yes.
