Syztemlord 7 Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I've recently updated all my MPAA ratings in my films metadata. I've tried doing a refresh of all films metadata but the old ratings are still showing. Is there another way to get the new ratings showing, or maybe delete the database and rebuild?
Luke 42077 Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 how have you gone about updating them? hopefully with the editing interface.
Syztemlord 7 Posted November 20, 2013 Author Posted November 20, 2013 I've refreshed via this screen.
Luke 42077 Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 that's not what i asked. how did you change them
gthrift 64 Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Stupid question, but did you hit save at the bottom?
Syztemlord 7 Posted November 20, 2013 Author Posted November 20, 2013 that's not what i asked. how did you change them Ah, sorry. Metabrowser Stupid question, but did you hit save at the bottom? Yes, just running another refresh now just to make sure.
Solution Luke 42077 Posted November 20, 2013 Solution Posted November 20, 2013 unless you lock the parental ratings from the edit pages, doing a refresh from there is going to get new metadata from the internet and replace what you have. 1

Syztemlord 7 Posted November 20, 2013 Author Posted November 20, 2013 Well I give up lol. I've tried turning off metadata globally, and changed the ratings to not have the GB prefix. I've updated the localization file, still no joy. It either doesn't change or it reverts the the "GB-*" rating. Looks like I'm stuck with having the GB prefix.
ebr 16169 Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 The country prefix is necessary for us to be able to find the right rating. Some countries overlap with the same ones (like 'PG'). 1
Syztemlord 7 Posted November 20, 2013 Author Posted November 20, 2013 I thought that may be the case. Thanks EBR.
