Guest Andy Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 MB2 used to support shotcuts for videos and this was great for me because I would have some video files in the grow-ups area that I wanted to share with the kids (National Treasure, Marry Poppins, that kind of thing) and could just have a shortcut in to the kids area so didn't have to duplicate video files. MB3 doesn't seem to support this, or am I missing some configuration setting somewhere? If it doesn't currently support it then it would be great to have this functionality back in!! Thanks!
Solution ebr 16169 Posted November 17, 2013 Solution Posted November 17, 2013 Have you read the library structure document in the kb or wiki? Our support for shortcuts is documented there.
Guest Andy Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Ah, thanks ebr! I hadn't thought to check there as my library structure has been fine for ages, but now that I've set up MB3 to use domain paths such as \\HTPC rather than D:\, or whatever, I hadn't update the shortcuts as it mentioned on the KB. Stands to reason that the movies never showed up if they weren't pointing to the correct library path! Cheers for your quick response!
pagali 62 Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 I've tried using the UNC paths in shortcuts, still haven't been able to get it to work.
