rliepins 9 Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Hello I am having trouble setting up a media library to access network locations. In Windows Explorer, I can see the target network drives no problem. I can browse and map drives. When I attempt to add a network location for a MediaBrowser Media Library, I can see the network server (a Windows 8.1 machine), but the network shares don't show up. When I attempt to manually add the share, I am directed to the MediaBrowser logon page. I'm a bit perplexed. From what I read from similar setups in the Wiki/posts, adding network locations seem very simple. My current setup: MediaBrowser Server installed on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit with WMC setup Home network setup consists of the main MediaBrowser server (Windows 7) and a Windows 8.1 workstation. Simple workgroup setup with common usernames and passwords configured (no Active Directory setup). Any advice would be most appreciated.
Solution FrostByte 5392 Posted February 4, 2015 Solution Posted February 4, 2015 Are you running MB as a service? If so, then the user/pw that starts the service must have rights to the folders on the network location also. 1
rliepins 9 Posted February 4, 2015 Author Posted February 4, 2015 Fantastic. Thanks for that. Problem solved. 1
