Terry67 1 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Closed captions can be enabled or disabled in the main web player, but when playing a trailer, it is enabled and there's no way to disable it. I'm on version 4.9.3.0 Thanks!

Mahinepua 155 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Its an issue on the windows and android apps also but not 3rd party apps like Zerk Play.
Terry67 1 Posted 7 hours ago Author Posted 7 hours ago Why is there a different player used just for trailers?

It is the only legal way to play YouTube content. We are configuring it to not show captions but sometimes YouTube applies them anyway.
Luke 43524 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago We are continuing to reevaluate this. It seems to be a moving target. My guess is that even though Google still allows embedding of their content, I don’t think they’re as happy about it as they might have been in the past. It wouldn’t surprise me if at some point down the road they stop allowing it.
Mahinepua 155 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) How do 3rd party apps implement YouTube trailers without subtitle etc? Edited 3 hours ago by Mahinepua
